HG Distribution Expands Mediawan Thematics Partnership with TREK and Science & Vie TV Acquisitions

HG Distribution announces the acquisition of two of its programs by TREK and SCIENCE & VIE TV, two channels belonging to the Mediawan Thematics group, a European partner for more than 10 years. Following the success of the first season of the documentary series Expedition Kayak, the second season has been available on the TREK channel since June 1, 2026. The documentary Anomaly Detection will be broadcast in November on SCIENCE & VIE TV

Expedition Kayak: Adrenaline in its Purest Form 

The documentary series Expedition Kayak takes viewers into the incredible adventures of the world’s best kayakers. Across 20 episodes of 60 minutes each, the members of Quebec Connection prove they are fearless on Canada’s most extreme rivers, from the Côte-Nord to the Chic-Chocs, through British Columbia and New Brunswick. They take on rapids and wilderness, combining adventure, skill and discovery while revealing hidden territories. 

Anomaly Detection: When AI Detects the Impossible 

This 70-minute documentary immerses us in the heart of CERN in Geneva, where physicists led by Maurizio Pierini are developing the first artificial intelligence capable of detecting anomalies among 40 million LHC collisions per second. The groundbreaking work of these experts presented in Anomaly Detection could transform the discovery of new physics, revealing the intersection of science, AI and human ingenuity.
