David Boreanaz Joins Italian Global Series for Riccione Conversation

Just a few days before the start of its second edition, the Italian Global Series (July 3-11, Rimini and Riccione) continues to expand its lineup of unmissable events and guests.

Among these, the American actor and producer David Boreanaz, called to tell his story in front of the festival audience in an unmissable Conversation scheduled at the Arena Ceccarini, in the heart of Riccione, for Thursday 9 July at 9pm.

The panel, moderated by journalist Hakim Zejjari, will be a journey through Boreanaz’s extraordinary career, retracing the genesis and behind-the-scenes details of his iconic characters, which have influenced generations of viewers: from the dark and tormented vampire Angel in Buffy the Vampire Slayer to the ironic and pragmatic FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth in the long-running crime drama Bones, to the charismatic and courageous Master Chief Jason Hayes in the military drama SEAL Team. The event represents an unmissable opportunity for fans and industry enthusiasts to meet in person a pillar of American series, capable of shaping the history of global television over the last three decades.

Born in Buffalo in 1969 and raised in Philadelphia, David Boreanaz is one of the most consistent, beloved, and successful faces on American television over the last thirty years. Having achieved worldwide fame in 1997 with his role as the vampire Angel in the cult series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a character so iconic that it earned a five-season spin-off of the same name, he consolidated his status as a small-screen star in 2005 by joining Emily Deschanel in the crime drama Bones, where he played Special Agent Seeley Booth for twelve years, also directing several episodes.

From 2017 to 2024, he starred in and executive produced the military drama SEAL Team as Master Chief Jason Hayes.

Future projects include The Rockford Files, a remake of the 1970s cult detective series, where Boreanaz will take up the mantle of James Garner to play the immortal James Scott Rockford.

The Italian Global Series, directed by Marco Spagnoli and desired by the Undersecretary for Culture Lucia Borgonzoni, is conceived and organized by APA (Association of Audiovisual Producers), in collaboration with Cinecittà, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Emilia-Romagna Region and APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna, the Municipalities of Riccione and Rimini, and AGIS, with the contribution of SIAE – Italian Society of Authors and Publishers, Enel, and the FS Group.
