Apulia Film Commission presented today in Cannes, during the meeting “Puglia. Where Culture Meets Industry” Cine-Voucher Market Puglia, a 100-thousand-euro pilot action designed to support small and medium-sized companies in Puglia’s audiovisual sector in themajor international film markets.
The facility will thus support the promotion and internationalization activities of production companies through a two-window call for proposals, until the available resources are exhausted.
During the event, which took place at the Majestic Barrière Hotel, the co-production and collaboration opportunities offered by the Apulia audiovisual sector to European and international operators were also illustrated. They aree the result of the close relationship between the AFC and the prestigious European Producers Club (EPC), in the presence of Antonio Parente, Director General of Apulia Film Commission, Cristina Piscitelli, Head of Financing and Community Projects and RUP, and Carlotta Calori, producer of Indigo Film and Vice President European Producers Club (EPC).
At the forefront is theApulia Film Forum, edition 2026, which will take place in Bari, Italy, Nov. 12-15, in partnership with theEuropean Producers Club (EPC). The initiative will bring producers from many European countries, including Germany, to the Apulian capital,
France, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Ireland and the Netherlands, to meet the Apulian Industry and offer co-production opportunities.
The Apulia Film Forum program will include EPC Encounters in the morning sessions and, in the afternoon, activities dedicated to Apulian projects. Eight selected projects will have the opportunity to be presented to European producers and stakeholders through one-to-one meetings aimed at developing and finding possible co-financiers.
“We are enthusiastic about the launch of the new Development Apulia Film Fund and Hospitality measures”
Said Cristina Piscitelli, “By the end of May, we will also launch the CineMarket Voucher call and announce the results of important initiatives such as our co-development funds with Albania and Montenegro and the Social Film Production program developed with Fondazione con il Sud. These projects reflect our commitment not only to international collaboration and industry growth, but also to supporting stories with social impact. The strong response — with over 140 submissions for our social initiative alone — confirms a growing need for projects that connect audiovisual production, cultural welfare, and communities across Southern Italy.”
