{"id":39940,"date":"2019-11-20T09:33:08","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T09:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinema.video\/?p=39940"},"modified":"2026-04-10T03:46:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T01:46:24","slug":"south-tyrol-netflix-for-curon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinema.video\/it\/south-tyrol-netflix-for-curon","title":{"rendered":"SOUTH TYROL Netflix for Curon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Netflix arrives in South Tyrol, on Lake Resia, the next location of the new original series entitled \u201cCuron\u201d about mysterious events inspired by real facts from the town of the same name in Val Venosta. <br>Written by Ezio Abbate (head writer), Ivano Fachin, Giovanni Galassi and Tommaso Matano, the series is produced by\u00a0<strong>Indiana Production<\/strong>, and is one of the projects funded by South Tyrol\u2019s\u00a0<strong>IDM Film Fund &amp; Commission\u00a0<\/strong>at the 3rd and last call for 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is accompanied by a lot of documentaries, including one on the experimental narration of the Wu Ming collective: \u201cA noi rimane il mondo\u201d (working title) filmed in Bolzano by Armin Ferrari and produced by\u00a0<strong>Altrove Films<\/strong>; the docu-film that marks the return of Reinhold Messner to the\u00a0<strong>Dolomites\u00a0<\/strong>for another incredible expedition (\u201cNiemandsland\u201d is the working title, produced by Dolomites); and one about Max Valier from South Tyrol, the father of the space rocket, in whose memory a crater on the dark side of the moon has been named (\u201cDer Raketenmann. Max Valier: der Traum vom Weltall\u201d is the working title of the project \u2013 supported by IDM right from the development phase \u2013 directed by Thomas Hanifle), produced by\u00a0<strong>Albolina Film\u00a0<\/strong>which also obtained funding for a documentary with the working title \u201cS\u00fcdtirols hoher Norden\u201d directed by Jochen Hemmleb who will probably film in the Aurina Valley, Vedrette di Ries, Monte Collalto and Val di Riva. <br>Plus, the Dutch \u201cMahler &#8211; The Echo of Being\u201d (working title) by Lucas van Woerkum, produced by\u00a0<strong>Symphonic Cinema Factory 1 B.V.\u00a0<\/strong>and \u201cAmate sponde\u201d (working title), in which Egidio Eronico portrays Italy using a screenplay that consists of just music and images. It is produced by\u00a0<strong>EiE film Turin\u00a0<\/strong>in co-production with Rome\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Schicchera Production<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are 4 projects supported by IDM in the pre-production phase. Recently presented in one of the official pitches dedicated to TV series at the MIA Market in Rome, \u201cLullaby\u201d (working title) was developed in South Tyrol last year during the IDM Script Lab RACCONTI #7 and is now supported by the Film Fund &amp; Commission. The original story-line and screenplay are by Manuela Piemonte and the French- Polish production features the involvement of\u00a0<strong>Black Sheep Films\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a0<strong>Bahama Films Incorporated<\/strong>. The project by Krzysztof Komander, \u201cThe Adventure Hunters\u201d (working title), produced by the Italian\u00a0<strong>Disparte<\/strong>, is instead a family movie that tells the story of an extraordinary friendship through an adventurous journey searching for hidden treasure in the mountains.\u00a0<strong>Miramonte Film\u00a0<\/strong>of Bolzano obtained support from IDM for the development of \u201cCommons\u201d, a reflection on the privatization of common property in the new documentary by Nuno Escudeiro who is working on the screenplay with Andreas Pichler. <br>And, finally,\u00a0<strong>Lumen Film\u00a0<\/strong>in Rome has received funding for the development of \u201cFabula\u201d (working title) by Lorenzo Puntoni, a project presented by a team of young producers which tells the story of 35-year old Lucio who gets lost in the woods during a hunting trip and is trapped in a world inhabited by fairy-tale characters that is neither past nor present.
