In fact the Tuscan university town is the place where Elena, one of the two protagonists of the novels by Ferrante, goes to study. <br>The production (<strong>Wildside and Fandango with Umedia<\/strong>) did some location scouting during the summer in collaboration with\u00a0<strong>Pisa City Council, the Universit\u00e0 Normale and the Toscana Film Commission<\/strong>, and the casting process, carried out inside the\u00a0<strong>Manifatture Digitali Cinema Pisa<\/strong>, was attended by 3000 people over two days. <br>Filming will start between September and October. <br>In the same period, filming will take place in Tuscany, around Arezzo and Volterra, on the mini-series \u201cLeonardo\u201d, produced by\u00a0<strong>Lux Vide for Rai Fiction<\/strong>, together with Frank Spotniz\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Big Light Production<\/strong>. <br>This is one of the first projects to come out of\u00a0<strong>The Alliance<\/strong>, the production group that brings together the biggest European broadcasters: RAI, France Televisions and the German ZDF, who announced their intention last March to unite in a joint venture in order to compete against the streaming giants like Amazon and Netflix.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The set of \u201cMy Brilliant Friend\u201d, the\u00a0HBO-Rai-Timvision TV\u00a0series directed by Saverio Costanzo is also coming to Pisa.
