Plus there is the docu-film by Gerald Salmina on the life of South Tyrol\u2019s Hans Kammerlander. \u201cManaslu \u2013 Berg der Seelen\u201d (working title) supported by IDM during the production and already filmed in Val Aurina thanks to the Austrian<strong> Planet Watch Film &amp; Video Produktion<\/strong>; \u201cTensione super ciale\u201d (working title), the debut work by Giovanni Aloi which, in 2016, took part in Berlinale Talents, an Italian-French co-production by <strong>Ombre Rosse Film<\/strong> with <strong>Chic Films<\/strong>.<br \/>\nAnother project backed by IDM first during the pre-production phase and this year in production is \u201cHogar\u201d (working title), the directing debut of South Tyrol\u2019s Maura Delpero, an Italian-Argentinian co-production between<strong> Disparte<\/strong>, Vivo film and <strong>Campo Cine<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<p>Over 400 days of filming in the region, with 20 active productions on sets involving numerous local workers and actors:<br \/>\n\u201cLa ragazza nella nebbia\u201d by Donato Carrisi, filmed around Lake Carezza and the Val d\u2019Ega; \u201cll Premio\u201d directed by and starring Alessandro Gassmann which was filmed around Dobbiaco, Lago di Braies, Sesto, Vilpiano, Gargazzone, Settequerce and the cities of Bolzano and Merano.<br \/>\nThe German director Ralf Huettner filmed for a month in the Castle of Tures in Val Aurina, Castel Mareccio in Bolzano, Lake Braies and Lake Monticolo to make the 2nd chapter of the German saga for children \u201cBurg Schreckenstein\u201d; and the Belgian Kenneth Mercken directed the cast and crew of \u201cCoureur\u201d in Egna and Val Venosta which is a story about cycling, passion and doping set in the \u201890s. Plus various sequences of \u201cSolo: A Star Wars Story\u201d, a spin-off from the \u201cStar Wars\u201d saga \u2013 long-awaited among the Italian releases for 2018 &#8211; were filmed in South Tyrol.<\/p>\n<p>South Tyrol\u2019s growth objective on the Italian and international cinema market was broadly confirmed, as assured by <strong>Birgit Oberkofer<\/strong> and <strong>Renate Ranzi<\/strong> who have been running the<strong> IDM Film Fund &amp; Commission<\/strong> since last May.<br \/>\nThe films and documentaries supported by IDM and totally or partially filmed in the region have taken part in over 30 Festivals; around 24 training events for professionals and new local talents have been organized in various fields of the audiovisual sector, and 6 scholarships have been assigned to filmmakers from South Tyrol.<\/p>\n<p>For 2018 IDM is working on the concrete development of the post- production sector in South Tyrol by installing specialist companies and creating new connections between businesses, professionals, researchers and start-ups alongside the new technological Park, <strong>NOI Techpark<\/strong> which, for several months, has been the Film Commission\u2019s new operational headquarters.<br \/>\n<strong>Cine Chromatix<\/strong> Italy will be inaugurated soon in Merano, the first Italian head office of the German post-production company that has formed a joint venture with the company from South Tyrol <strong>Ammira Film<\/strong>.
