{"id":10960,"date":"2016-05-09T08:15:56","date_gmt":"2016-05-09T08:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinema.video\/?p=10960"},"modified":"2026-04-10T03:33:47","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T01:33:47","slug":"the-sense-of-places","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinema.video\/it\/the-sense-of-places","title":{"rendered":"The Sense of Places"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are two films shot in Piedmont with the support of the <strong>Torino Piemonte Film Commission<\/strong> at Cannes: \u201cSweet Dreams\u201d by <strong>Marco Bellocchio<\/strong>, an Italian-French co-production which will open the <em>Quinzane des Realisateurs<\/em> (<em>Directors\u2019 Fortnight<\/em>), and \u201cHappy times will come soon\u201d by the director from Friuli, <strong>Alessandro Comodin<\/strong>, at the<em> Semaine de la Critique<\/em> (<em>Critics\u2019 Week<\/em>).<br \/>\nComodin\u2019s movie is his second work after \u201cL\u2019estate di Giacomo-Summer of Giacomo\u201d, winner of the \u201cFilmmakers of the present Pardo d\u2019oro\u201d award at Locarno 2011. Filmed entirely in Piedmont on the French border and using mostly Piedmontese workers, the movie is a symbolic and poetic work that the Film Commission believed in immediately and supported, confirming its attention to new arthouse cinema which is open to experimentation and of international appeal.
